These are the most beautiful boots. I've had so many compliments when I've worn them. The leather is top quality! I do normally wear a 40 in the European sizing, but wear a 39 in this boot.

I was having a tough time finding nice boots in my size (11) without paying $300+. These obviously don't count as "thrifty" boots, but the price point is good for real leather from a great company and the quality seems great; these should last for years to come. The calves ended up being wider than I expected, even on the smallest ring, so I'm looking to punch new holes in the straps. They're VERY comfy, which is my absolute favorite part. I wore these for the first time to a long awards cocktail hour/dinner and I assumed my feet would be killing me by the end. It was actually just as comfy as the Clarks I normally wear to work and my feet were cozy all night. They look gorgeous. Definitely happy with this purchase!

ok -- these are not the "mink" color pictured on Amazon and elsewhere. I expected reddish brown shiny leather. They are actually a muted medium brown and the leather has a slight luster. This shade of brown eventually grew on me but is not what I expected. They also felt a good size larger but I took care of that with a half-insert. Better a little bit large than too small; order your usual size and it should be ok. Here's the problem: they looked fine while wearing indoors despite a slight discoloration on an area of 1.5 x 2 inches on one boot. It looked like it would even out with use. Then I finally wore them out today having waited while deciding on fit and not wanting to wear them in the slushy non-stop snow. The daylight revealed that the "discoloration" is really more of a damaged spot of leather -- it is clearly defective. Now I just checked and it is too late to return. My advice is to look very carefully. I am disappointed by this lapse in quality. Now -- for the good part -- they are a pleasure to wear, very comfortable right out of the box -- and if not for the defective part of leather -- appear to be well made.

I ordered these boots because of all the good reviews. When I received them, I was not disappointed. The cognac color is amazing and very versatile in terms of color combination. This boot is made of quality leather which makes it elegant and sophisticated without having spend the extra $$$$$. The rubber sole is perfect for all weather conditions and the heel hight is just right. The inside of the boot is fully lined and very very comfortable. The 3 side buckles are not only esthetically very pretty but also functional as you can adjust them to ensure a perfect snug fit. This boot has a full length zip which makes it easy to take the boot on and off. It also has an extra elastic band to accommodate a slightly wider calf or the extra leggings. It has a snug fit at the ankle which makes the leg look long and lean. Length wise I wish it was a little bit taller but then again I am 5'10 so extra tall boots are hard to find. My shoe size is 9-91/2 and I ordered a 40 european size and it was perfect. My calf measures 15 inch and the fit is just perfect. I would definitely recommend this boot and am looking to buy the black one as well. A+ !

This is the first time I ordered shoes online. Before this risky step I went to the store, tried out about 10 pairs of different boots before I found these ones – by ECCO.
Here in America, it’s very difficult to find high boots that would fit my European standard legs: all of them are made for wide feet and calves.

I like this boots because they perfectly fit my narrow feet and my graceful ankle. Three buckles on the side help to adjust the width at the calf area. So, I can wear them both with a skirt or skinny jeans.

My regular US size is 9 (39 EU), but I had to order 8.5 because this particular model was a little bit big. So, keep this in mind. You may need to get a half-size less.

The only thing that I don’t like is that the leather these boots are made of is a little bit too hard. I would prefer to have softer and gentler leather.

I would not recommend these boots to my friends because I don’t want them to have the same boots as I do. Just joking... I would definitely recommend these boots to those who have slim legs. I've heard many complements from the people I don't know about my boots!

These boots are so great. I bought these for myself in November of 2012 and for my mom in December of 2013. It is July 2014 and I've used these boots so much. They are comfortable and give me good foot support for wearing all day and I find myself wearing these every single day that it is cold (I live in Missouri, so that's often) and I love them. There isn't really much wear and tear on these even though I use them insanely often, the leather is very nice quality, and the look is perfect. These can easily be dressed up or down for any outfit. They feel and look great and they last. I bought another pair of leather boots from Vince Camuto and used them for a few months and I definitely prefer these Ecco boots. Everything about these boots is perfect.

My mom disapproved of my spending $170 on one pair of boots but what she and I realized is that $170 is nothing for a pair of really nice quality, versatile, leather boots, especially if you live somewhere cold. This is why she asked for her own pair for Christmas the following year and now we both wear them all the time and adore them. You will too. Ecco is a great brand and this Amazon price makes buying these much more possible. They were honestly one of the best purchases I've made.

I usually wear a size 8 US and size 38 in EU sizes. So I ordered the size 38. It was too narrow for my foot, but also too long. I think the sizing is off, as the 38 was closer to a 8-8.5.

I have muscular calves, and there was plenty of space. I would have had to punch another hole to tighten them, if I had kept them.

Ultimately, I returned them, as the front was too narrow for my foot, and going a size down wouldn't have helped. They are very nice looking and felt like they were made from quality material, as I would expect from Ecco. Unfortunately, they weren't a good fit for me.

These boots came in a plain brown boot box with no ECCO markings or tags. The quality of the boots is in no way comparable to the ECCO boots I have seen in the store. I think they may be knock-offs or ECCO is now running a discount line. I would pay no more than $30 for these boots not the amount asked.
